Mae Sot Market ("we", "the site") is a product-showcase platform connecting local sellers in the Mae Sot area with buyers. This page explains what data we collect and how it's used.

What we collect

• Account information: name, email and/or phone number, and a hashed password for sellers and visitors who register. If you sign in with Google or Telegram, we receive your name/email or Telegram username from that provider.
• Shop and product content: shop name, description, contact details, and product listings you choose to publish, including uploaded photos (processed to strip EXIF/location metadata before storage).
• Reviews: ratings, comments, and optional photos you submit on a shop or product page.
• Usage data: page views, likes, shares, and searches, recorded to power on-page counters and admin-facing analytics. Anonymous browsing is recorded using a random device cookie rather than an account.
• Login sessions: IP address, device/browser type, and an approximate location (country/city, via IP lookup) for each login, so you and admins can see and revoke active sessions.

How it's used

To operate the marketplace: showing your shop/products to visitors, letting buyers contact sellers directly (we never handle payments or messages ourselves), securing accounts, and understanding which products/shops are popular.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data to third parties. We don't process payments or store payment information — all buyer-seller contact happens through the external channels (phone, WhatsApp, Viber, Telegram, Facebook) a seller chooses to list.

Your choices

You can edit or delete your shop/product listings and reviews at any time while logged in. You can view and revoke your own active login sessions from your dashboard. To request full account deletion, contact us via the shop page's own contact details or the site's admin.
